This half day session will include didactic lectures focusing on the etiology, pathophysiology and characteristcs of diabetic foot wounds.
A review of current conventional care for the treatment of these wounds will include discussion on debridement, offloading devices and techniques, and approved advanced therapies used in the treatment of chronic diabetic foot wounds.
TOTAL CONTACT CAST WORKSHOP
This HANDS-ON lab activity will allow attendees the opportunity to learn and practice the application of the Total Contact Cast technique as practiced at The Center for Advanced Wound Care.
All participants will have the opportunity to properly apply and remove a total contact cast, learn about bi-valve techniques, all under the supervision of highly qualified staff.
