This session provides the opportunity for up to four (4) visiting clinicians to observe The Center for Advanced Wound Care, a multi-disciplinary wound management team, during inpatient rounds at the main campus of St. Joseph Medical Center and during a typical out- patient clinic day.

The Clinical Director, Autumn L. Bell, MPT, CLT, will discuss the clinical operations and the various programs and therapeutic interventions offered at the Center for Advanced Wound Care.

The Medical Director, Joseph P. Cavorsi, MD, will be interacting with patients, nurses, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and other staff. Participants will have an opportunity to observe and interact while the medical director reviews patient history, examination, diagnosis and wound management decision making.

During lunch, attendees may ask questions or raise discussions based on the morning observation. Following lunch, attendees will resume clinic rounds with the staff until late afternoon. Attendees will have an opportunity to see a wide variety of patients and wounds (approximately 65-70 patients) and interact with any member of the wound management team during the observation period.

All attendees will receive inpatient and outpatient paper documentation samples and a copy of our superbill. The session takes place on Thursday only.
