This half day course will include a review of tissue identification and rationale for each of the various methods of wound debridement (surgical, sharp, mechanical, enzymatic, autolytic and biologic).

The session will also include a sharp debridement lab activity using pigs feet and hands-on demonstration of various other industry produced apparatus specifically designed for wound debridement.

Case studies will emphasize when to pursue each of the presented methods of debridement
